Amelia (Margaret Qualley) hires a thug, Jackson (Russell Crowe), to help her get rid of the private detective Holland (Ryan Gosling) who is watching her. However, during the mission, Jackson discovers that a much more dangerous person is also monitoring Amelia’s every move. To make matters worse, Amelia goes missing, and Jackson is left with no choice but to seek out Holland again to help find her whereabouts. Holland’s daughter Holly (Angourie Rice) later joins the investigation, and as they delve deeper, more and more clues connect, pulling more characters into this large conspiracy.
