Oliver's dream is to become a singer, but despite his abundant talent, he seems to be perpetually unlucky, missing out on many opportunities for fame and remaining obscure to this day. His daughter Annabelle (played by Mara Wilson) sees her father's efforts and believes in the existence of magic in the world, so she seeks help from a fairy, only to summon a fairy child named Morry who is not very skilled in magic. Morry, although eager to help Oliver and Annabelle, has limited abilities and often creates bigger troubles instead. Meanwhile, the evil witch Claudia (played by Deborah Odell) has come back to life, and in her quest for world domination, she steals all the wands, but accidentally leaves behind Morry's wand. Thus, Morry becomes the last hope for saving the world.
