Danvers State Hospital is located not far from Boston, built in the 1860s, it once housed over two thousand patients. Now it is abandoned, waiting to be rebuilt for other uses. Before the reconstruction, the asbestos needs to be removed, and a company specializing in hazardous material removal has taken on this task. Five men, including the company owner Gordon, entered this eerie behemoth. Gordon has a wife and a newborn daughter at home, relying on him to make a living, so he took on the job and promised to finish work that would normally take two or three weeks within a week; Phil is a minor foreman who started using marijuana after his girlfriend left him for someone else; Hank is the guy who stole his girlfriend, a smug gambler who constantly mocks Phil; also accompanying them are law student Mike and Gordon's nephew Jeff, a naive young man.
