The police officer played by Huang Zihua becomes paralyzed after being hit by a car during a robbery. The thug responsible for driving the getaway car, Li Xiuxian, is shot and ends up in a coma. Huang Zihua, unwilling to live his second half of life like a cripple, is guided by Wu Qianlian, who has transformed after the wise elder's body snatching, to use Li Xiuxian's body to be reborn. Unexpectedly, Li Xiuxian turns out to be a despicable person, notorious in his hometown of Lantau Island. The new Li Xiuxian, however, is smart, quick-witted, and has a sense of justice. Watching him repay his debts and win back the hearts of three wives is quite entertaining. His sister, Cai Shaofen, openly harbors a crush on her brother, and the adult humor surrounding Huang Zihua's constant bathroom trips whenever he fantasizes about the women in Li's family provides some delightful surprises. In Taoism, "body snatching" refers to taking over someone else's body for survival. Officer Tommy (played by Huang Zihua) particularly enjoys humming the song: "Tell Laura I love her." His girlfriend Laura is also a police officer, a fan of Wu Qilian, and has a cardboard cutout of him at home. Tommy becomes paralyzed from the waist down after being hit by a car during a confrontation with criminals. "Body snatching" succeeds with Wu Qianlian, who turns out to be a disheartened woman who jumped off a building but survived. She guides Tommy to survive in the body of the useless scoundrel (played by Li Xiuxian) from Lamma Island. Teng Ji is originally a very annoying person, known for his bad reputation in Lantau Island, but he is transformed into a filial, generous, clever, and just good person. Tommy's soul helps Teng Ji resolve many family issues, but Laura loses interest in this new Tommy. The wise elder tells him that the only solution is to walk out, meaning to abandon the body. As a result, Teng Ji's partner, who fears he is unreliable due to his involvement in a robbery, tries to eliminate him. After a chase that ends in a car crash, Teng Ji dies, allowing Huang Zihua to break free and revert to his girlfriend's idol, singer Wu Qilian. A year later, Teng Ji becomes the island chief of Lamma Island, a good person who even runs for election.
