The 2012 South Korean film "City of Vengeance" is known as the "Korean version of Crash," centering on nine characters and depicting a chain of tragedies that unfold within 24 hours. Lee Ki-young plays a loan shark who lends money to Kim Da-woo (played by Kim Seok-hoon), who is facing bankruptcy. After Kim Da-woo fails to repay the high-interest loan, Lee Ki-young uses this as an excuse to threaten him by saying he will remove his organs. Especially chilling is Lee Ki-young's performance when, after killing his own wife, he remains unfazed and calm when he is designated as a suspect and investigated.
