The story takes place in the bustling metropolis of Amsterdam, where a series of corpses emerging from the canals has plunged the citizens into a state of panic. Various clues indicate that this is a serial murder case committed by the same person. The case is led by Detective Erik (Huub Stapel), whose sense of justice drives him to uncover the concealed murderer behind the scenes. With the assistance of his friend John (Wim Zomer), Erik focuses his investigation on the local diving community, where he also meets the beautiful and kind-hearted Laura (Monique van de Ven).
