How is the line between science and religion drawn? Are they opposites, or can one easily cross over? Katherine (played by Hilary Swank) undergoes a transformation stemming from this ancient and mysterious philosophical question. She had once faithfully believed in God and preached devoutly, but after her husband and daughter were brutally murdered, Katherine lost her faith in religion.
