Li Chuqiao (played by Shao Meiqi) was a survivor of a perverted murder case years ago but lost her left arm. Facing a sudden change, Chuqiao feels desolate, but after encountering magician Zhang Shiyan (played by Chen Hao), everything starts to improve, and she regains her belief in life as they naturally become a couple. On the other side, Jin Zhaonan (played by Zheng Shaoqiu) is a well-known stage actor in the city but has been troubled by the disappearance of his daughter years ago, leading to his divorce from his wife (played by Chen Xiuzhu), and he immerses himself in stage performances. While playing the role of a murderer, Jin Zhaonan becomes embroiled in a serial murder case and meets Chuqiao and Zhang Shiyan. He also develops special feelings for Zhang Shiyan's sister, Zhang Shiting (played by Chen Yanni). After meeting Zhaonan, Zhang Shiyan undergoes a significant personality change, raising Zhaonan's suspicions. Is Zhang Shiyan's unspeakable past the reason behind all the strange events?
