In a tranquil mountain village far from the hustle and bustle of the city, there lives a young couple, the husband Haruka (played by Ryo Nishikido), a novelist, and his wife Aiko (played by Aoi Miyazaki). Aiko is innocent and pure, having spent most of her childhood in a hospital. The picture book "Yellow Elephant" brought her endless joy, and even now, she seems to possess the ability to communicate with animals and plants. Their union has faced opposition from Aiko's parents since the beginning, yet their ideal life in seclusion in the mountains is enviable, filled with joy and carefreeness, as they help and support each other and their neighbors in the village. However, Aiko’s body seems to be undergoing gradual changes, and her emotions become increasingly unstable. A secret hidden deep inside creates unrest in their once-happy world... The film is adapted from the original work by female author Kanae Minato.
