This documentary is produced by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). It was first broadcast on May 19, 2014, during the evening program Four Corners. During the approximately 80 days following the disappearance of MH370, Four Corners reporter Caro Meldrum-Hanna conducted exclusive interviews with key figures, including the Malaysian Defense Minister, the head of Inmarsat, former Boeing pilots, and the families and friends of the captain, probing deeply and exploring the critical circumstances hours before the flight's disappearance. Next on Four Corners, reporter Caro Meldrum-Hanna forensically charts what happened in the minutes and hours after the Boeing 777 aircraft stopped communicating with authorities on the ground. The program raises many crucial questions about what went wrong with the emergency response and reveals new information about the sequence of events that night. Traveling to Malaysia, Meldrum-Hanna speaks to the family of the pilot and prime suspect, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, in their first television interview.
