The famous American journalist Snow brought a series of questions about red China to Shaanxi, where he met his long-anticipated interviewee, Mao Zedong. During his more than four months in Shaanxi, Snow diligently investigated, interviewed, and filmed, gaining a profound understanding of both Mao Zedong and China, and forming a deep friendship with Mao. After returning to Beiping, he wrote the world-renowned book "Red Star Over China," which garnered significant international attention. In 1939, Snow returned to Yan'an as a representative of the "Cooperative" International Committee. Faced with the transformed Yan'an, Snow was immensely excited, and once again discussed China with Mao Zedong. In the 60s and 70s, Snow visited China twice to interview and report on the new China, introducing the changes happening in China to the world.
