"Loving Patricia Highsmith" is a unique observation of the life of the famous American writer Patricia Highsmith. This film is based on the unpublished diaries of this bestselling novelist. It not only focuses on her quest for identity and her tumultuous love life but also provides a new perspective on her writing. The voices of family, friends, and her own, alongside exquisite archival materials, vividly outline the image of one of the most prolific female writers to date. Highsmith wrote over 22 novels, many of which were adapted into films: most notably "Strangers on a Train" by Alfred Hitchcock, "The Talented Mr. Ripley" adapted by René Clément, Wim Wenders, and Anthony Minghella, and "Carol," a partly autobiographical novel about a lesbian love story directed by Todd Haynes. @Yilian Tongren Subtitle Share
