To develop new drugs, a hunter (played by Willem Dafoe) is commissioned by the Red Leaf Pharmaceutical Company and embarks on a journey to capture the endangered Tasmanian tiger, staying with a family of three, whose male head has been missing for half a year, in the vast Tasmanian plains. The hunter, while struggling to hunt, gradually develops feelings for the female head of the household and her two children, and witnesses the severe environmental crisis in the Tasmanian plains, unveils the mystery of the man's disappearance, discovers traces of the Tasmanian tiger, and deduces the various interests behind the scenes. As a result, the hired hunter stops hunting and begins to care for the widow and her children. The interest group behind the scenes becomes enraged and sends new hunters. What will happen to the hunter, the family, and the endangered Tasmanian tiger?
