This work is adapted from the novel of the same name by Natsuei Shimi. It tells the love story between the "model student" Akane Niwa, who can't let go of her mask and constantly reads the atmosphere around her, and her free-spirited, painting-loving classmate Seiji Fukagawa. Akane struggles to relate to Seiji, who is her complete opposite, but is drawn to his art and straightforward personality, which begins to color her own world.
