He Xin (played by Andy Lau) reaches middle age, and his casino business expands rapidly. However, it suddenly suffers continuous losses due to the frequent visits of an international con artist. After some investigation, He Xin believes there is an insider in the company, and due to long-standing disagreements in business philosophy, He Xin and the company's general manager, Nie Aotian (played by Lau Siu-Ming), grow increasingly estranged. At this time, He Xin's children, He Tianbao and He Tianer (played by Chan Kwan), return to his side, especially He Tianer, who brings her boyfriend Cheng Zhen back to assist her father's business. One day, He Tianbao and Cheng Zhen engage in a street race, and tragically, Tianbao dies in a car crash. After investigating, He Xin confirms that it was a deliberate act by Cheng Zhen. Seeking revenge for his son, He Xin hires a killer to target Cheng Zhen. Meanwhile, Mrs. He, Ah Mei (played by Chiu Shuk-Ching), discovers an even bigger secret: Cheng Zhen is actually the son of He Xin's former lover, Cheng Le'er. What kind of entanglement exists between Cheng Zhen and He Xin?
