Anwar El-Ibrahimi (Omar Metwally), an Egyptian-American, immigrated to the United States about twenty years ago and built a life with the beautiful American woman Isabella Fields (Reese Witherspoon). They have a loving marriage and a son, and Isabella is pregnant with their second child. One day, Anwar El-Ibrahimi returns from a business trip in South Africa and is taken away at Washington Airport by mysterious men in black. The CIA suspects Anwar, a chemical engineer, is a terrorist and wants to extract useful information from him.
