Liu Jia Ling and Mao Shun Jun both work in the Major Crimes Unit. Liu is a newly promoted Senior Inspector, impulsive in her work, while Mao has lost faith in the police force. Their informant, Luo Mei Wei, who is entangled with corrupt informants, inadvertently discovers a black market gun deal, but Luo is afraid of being drawn into the vortex and is unwilling to take risks. Liu persists in pressuring her.
