Tessa (played by Josephine Langford) is a rule-abiding girl. To her parents, she is the obedient and well-behaved daughter; to her boyfriend, she is the caring and understanding girlfriend; to her teachers, she is the polite and disciplined student. This kind of girl, upon stepping into college, encounters a boy named Hardin (played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin). Hardin is unlike any boy Tessa has ever met.
