The story follows the adventure of two elementary school students in Nagasaki, Kyushu in 1986. Takaki Kudata (played by Ichirou Banya), who loves Yuki Saito and is passionate about collecting "Kinnikuman" erasers, grows up in a loving environment despite his parents often arguing. Takaki, along with Take-moto (played by Kazunobu Harada), who is bullied by classmates, decides to go to Boomerang Island in Nagasaki to search for dolphins. Although they face many difficulties, this adventure helps them become good friends. However, an unexpected incident significantly alters their friendship.
