"The Imperial Concubine Returns Home" tells the story set during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty, where the beloved concubine, Lady Lang Lihua (played by Yan Xuejing), yearns to return home. The emperor graciously permits her to visit her family in Northeast China. Disguised with her sister, Princess Yuxia, the concubine travels light. Upon returning, she uses the ill-gotten silver she collected to build bridges for the people. However, she is reported by a treacherous eunuch for her actions. Thankfully, County Magistrate Tong (played by Pan Changjiang) risks his life to plead her case in court, ultimately leading to the punishment of the corrupt officials and the triumph of justice.
