The unsung hero (played by Nick Cheung) has been an orphan since childhood. Fortunately, he was taken in by his uncle Law Shihai (played by Wong Jing). Growing up without guidance, he often frequented street gambling stalls and honed his exceptional gambling skills. Law Shihai discovered his talent and took him, along with two underlings Ah Jun (played by Lai Koon) and "cheap man," to Shenzhen to set up scams for money. While scamming in Shenzhen, they offended the local boss Meng Ge (played by Lung Fong). In front of Meng Ge, the unsung hero showcased his skills, earning respect and helping the group escape danger. Upon returning to Hong Kong, the unsung hero encounters a blind model, Ku Er (played by Shu Qi). Ah Jun notices the unsung hero's feelings and assures him that he can help him win over Ku Er, with the condition being that the unsung hero teaches him gambling techniques. The unsung hero readily agrees. However, Meng Ge finds the unsung hero in Hong Kong and forces him to use his gambling skills to make money for him. Reluctantly, the unsung hero agrees. Unexpectedly, after learning the gambling skills, Ah Jun takes advantage of the situation and blindsides the unsung hero, taking his place with Meng Ge. What will become of the unsung hero in the end?
