Eipal (Sofia Carson) is a talented dancer, but she also has the common flaw of all geniuses: she's too self-centered. As a result, she gets kicked out of Broadway and, with no other choice, returns to her long-absent home in Wisconsin, back to her father Frank (Enrico Colantoni). Eipal, returning home disheveled, just wants to hide away from everyone, including her first love Nick (Wolfgang Novogratz). Her former dance teacher Barbie (Donna Lynne Champlin) extends an olive branch to Eipal, inviting her to train a group of inexperienced young dancers in town. Faced with reality and her desire to return to Broadway, Eipal reluctantly agrees.
