Introducing the playboy scholar Feng Xiangru, who is introduced to the red-dressed woman Xin Shisanniang through his aunt. The two become husband and wife. In the early days of their marriage, they are very happy together. However, soon Feng's old habits resurface; he loves to flirt and engage with multiple partners, ultimately being falsely accused and imprisoned.
