Late at night, model Miao Qinghong is murdered in an art studio at the art college, startling Professor Chen Tianhua, who is in another studio copying "The Cursed Eye." Inspector Li and Ruonan are sent by the police to investigate the case. Zhang Lan, also a professor at the college, mentions that Miao Qinghong used to be the top courtesan, and Chen Tianhua, appreciating her artistic talent, made an exception to allow her into the college. This conversation raises Ruonan's suspicions about Chen Tianhua. The case remains unsolved, and Zhang Lan mysteriously dies at home, causing panic on campus. Meanwhile, the killer taunts Ruonan with notes. Ruonan suspects the killer will strike again and rushes to gather the students in the auditorium, but the students, feeling resentful, ultimately run out. Another murder indeed occurs; the killer poisons the cafeteria, causing five students to collapse from poisoning; only one, named He Dan, remains unconscious after extensive rescue efforts. At this point, everyone realizes that the names of the deceased all have a color: Miao Qinghong (Red), Zhang Lan (Blue)... This reminds them of "The Cursed Eye." It is said that the art college was originally a royal residence, where a painter invited by the prince had an illicit love affair with a princess. Before being blinded by the prince, the painter created an eye using six pure colors—red, black, purple, blue, white, and yellow—naming it "The Cursed Eye," with legends claiming that this painting would trigger bloody incidents.
