In order to capture an international criminal organization hiding in South Korea, North Korean detective Ren Tie-Ling (played by Hyun Bin) gets involved in a new joint investigation task. South Korean detective Kang Jin-Tai (played by Ryu Seung-ryong) is reassigned to the cyber investigation team due to a mistake made during the investigation. To return to the wide area investigation team, Jin-Tai volunteers to be Tie-Ling's partner. Upon meeting Tie-Ling again, Min-Young (played by Lim Yoon-a) reignites her feelings for him. However, Tie-Ling and Jin-Tai harbor suspicions towards each other but still embark on a serious investigation operation. Just when they finally locate the hideout of the criminal organization's leader, Jang Myung-Joon (played by Jeon Sang-Gyu), FBI agent Jake (played by Daniel Henney) suddenly appears before them. With the still heartbreaking South Korean detective; equally outstanding North Korean detective; and the American detective from the FBI, they unite for their respective goals and embark on an exciting joint investigation.
