In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, internal troubles and external invasions, traditional values collapsing, and people's livelihoods deteriorating. A little boy named Yang Luchan, with a naturally fleshy forehead and unusual looks, can only eat and laugh foolishly. Everyone believes he will only live a life of dependency, but his mother (played by Shu Qi) thinks her son Luchan (played by Yuan Xiaochao) is extraordinarily gifted and destined for greatness. As he grows older, Luchan gradually shows exceptional abilities—he has an exceptional memory for various martial arts moves, and especially when the fleshy part on his forehead is touched, he becomes immensely strong, unbeatable by anyone. A wise man points out that if Luchan can wisely utilize this talent, he will become a top master, but if he lets his character turn from red to black, his life will be in danger. Luchan, after many hardships, arrives at Chenjiagou—the birthplace of Tai Chi—hoping to learn martial arts for survival. However, the Chen family does not teach outsiders. Fortunately, a mysterious old man (played by Leung Ka-fai) always discreetly guides him at critical moments, allowing Luchan to make rapid progress, which impresses the villagers. The once peaceful mountain village faces the threat of destruction due to the government's railway construction. Zhi Jing (played by Peng Yuyan), the railway supervisor who returns from studying in England, sacrifices the villagers' interests for his future. Yu Niang (played by Angela Yeung) has been childhood friends with Zhi Jing, and upon facing his betrayal, she is heartbroken and decides to protect her home at all costs. Zhi Jing leads a mechanical monster, "Troy," to threaten the villagers to relocate within a deadline, or the village will be flattened. Under the guidance of the mysterious old man, Luchan fights alongside Yu Niang, destroying Troy and repelling the Qing army, saving the entire village. In a crazed state, Zhi Jing vows to retaliate with even stronger firepower, while Yu Niang makes a significant decision…
