Navy Lieutenant Ted Jackson is a frogman living a double life as a deep-sea mine clearance diver and a bar singer. One day, Ted discovers a sunken ship full of Spanish silver coins and decides to lead his friends Jo and Judd on a treasure hunt. However, the cunning playboy Gil Carey is also searching for the same treasure, creating rifts between Ted and his old friend, Captain Jack, who rents out diving equipment, and using his girlfriend Dina to sabotage Ted's plans.
