He comes to fulfill his mother's last wish, bringing her ashes with him. With Tora's help, they hold a memorial service for the deceased at the inn. The young man's name is Saburo; he is shy and quiet, and he has developed feelings for a department store employee named Akiko, who accompanied him on the trip. He expresses his desire to date her when they part ways. However, Akiko does not take it seriously, prompting him to seek Tora's assistance in making a connection. Tora readily agrees. Fulfilling his mission, Tora earnestly tries to communicate with Akiko, but she still refuses. To help the two young people, the Gin'ya family organizes a gathering to bring them together, creating opportunities for them to connect and finally share their feelings.
