The annual Purge night is approaching, coinciding with the heated U.S. presidential election. On one side is NFFA spokesperson Edwidge Owens, the architect of Purge night, and on the other is Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell), a woman whose family was killed during the horrific event. Charlie is determined to abolish the Purge at all costs, making her a target for the NFFA, who plan to take her life on that night. The strong-willed Charlie insists on staying at home, while her head of security, Leo (Frank Grillo), is on high alert, preparing to face opponents from all directions. Due to a mole within their ranks, Leo is forced to take Roan and escape their residence. Along the way, they receive help from some supporters, but their adversaries refuse to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity...
