Louis Drax is a troubled child: smart, wise beyond his years, full of lies, and always involved in dangerous and unsettling accidents. At 9 years old, he has had eight accidents: the first, a difficult birth for his mother; the second, suffering from sudden infant death syndrome; the third, a seizure, leaving him breathless for nine and a half minutes; the fourth, he fell onto the tracks of the Lyon subway, surviving with 85% of his body electrocuted... The ninth, a tragic fall from a cliff, but miraculously he survived two hours after doctors declared him dead, yet his family was shattered as a result.
