The reboot of "Child's Play" unveils its first poster, featuring the dangerous doll Chucky making a new return. Directed by Lars Klevberg, known for "Polaroid," the remake of "Child's Play" has released its initial poster, showcasing the iconic killer doll Chucky's fresh comeback. The film stars Aubrey Plaza from "Ingrid Goes West" and Brian Tyree Henry from "Atlanta," and filming has commenced this week in Vancouver. In the new version, Plaza portrays a mother who gifts her son a doll for his birthday, unaware of the doll's sinister nature. This film is based on the original from 1988, but the series' writer Don Mancini and producer David Kirschner are not involved in this reboot. In fact, both are currently busy with more original “Child’s Play” films and related potential projects. MGM's reboot of "Child's Play" is clearly set to distinguish itself from the well-known original Chucky and compete against it.
