A poor girl receives special favor from the goddess of fate, Man Shen (Chen Hong). After growing up, she becomes the pampered princess Qing Cheng (Zhang Baizhi), but as a result, she is also cursed by the fate spell of "never obtaining true love, unless time flows backward and the dead are brought back to life." In her romantic struggles with Bei Gong Jue Wu Huan (Xie Tingfeng) and General Guangming (Sanada Hiroyuki), Qing Cheng is repeatedly used as a pawn, and the spell comes true. However, the humble slave Kunlun Nu (Zhang Dongjian) genuinely loves Qing Cheng. He hopes to break the chains of fate imposed on her with his nearly light-speed running, allowing her to return to the starting point of her life and regain the right to choose.
