In 1934, the renowned German director Leni Riefenstahl was invited to film "Triumph of the Will." The film, conceptualized by the Nazis and funded by the Third Reich, documented the rallies, meetings, and parades of the Nazi regime at its peak. To facilitate the filming, the Reich provided unlimited funds, a crew of over a hundred people, countless floodlights, sixteen top cinematographers, thirty cameras, twenty-two cars with drivers, and uniformed motor police. This large and luxurious production team, combined with Riefenstahl's genius creativity and aesthetic vision, produced a masterpiece that remains both a perfect and controversial work in film history. "Triumph of the Will" is described as "the most authoritative propaganda film," and it won the Best Documentary Award at the Venice Film Festival and the Paris Film Festival in 1935.
