Sayaka Suzuki (played by Emi Takei), an office lady in the planning department of Toyo Hotel, has been through an eight-year relationship hiatus. During her student years, she was in love with her childhood friend, but the two, unable to stay together, once eloped but ultimately had to face the fate of parting. Now, her first love, Kazuya Hino (played by Hayato Nagayama), has become a well-known film and television star, while Sayaka is exhausted from the torment of her sadistic boss, Akira Tsuji (played by Tadayoshi Okura).
