Toto (Francesco Golisano) was abandoned by his parents at a very young age. Fortunately, he met a kind old lady named Lolota (Emma Gramatica), and the two relied on each other, spending a happy time filled with warmth and joy. However, the good times were short-lived; after Lolota's death, Toto's life fell into difficulty once again, and with no other options, he had to seek refuge in the slums. One day, a valuable oil well was discovered in the slums, attracting the attention of the wealthy who sought to drive the poor away. Despite the poor's fierce resistance, they were outnumbered. Upon learning this news, the deceased Lolota sent a "magic dove" to help the poor, but good fortune was fleeting, as the magic dove was captured by the "hunting angel," leaving the poor once again in dire straits.
