The story is set in 1930s Greece, where the naive and beautiful Osha (played by Penelope Tsilika) falls in love with the handsome naval lieutenant Spyros (played by Andreas Constantinou). However, Spyros has a mission and is about to set sail, so the two make a promise of love, and Osha decides to quietly wait for her lover's return on a small island. But Osha's mother unilaterally decides to marry her daughter off to a captain named Nix (played by Maximos Moumouris) simply because he has strong financial means.
