Tom and Jerry, from a middle-class family, enjoy favorable living conditions, yet they face numerous troubles. Their father (played by Leung Chi Keung) works for a mobile development company, while their mother (played by Cheung Yuen) is an editor at a well-known magazine. Both parents are busy with work and have little time to consider their children's feelings. In the eyes of these parents, the kids are mischievous and full of faults, causing them great concern. Tom's good friend, Chengcai (played by Hung Tsz Kin), comes from a single-parent family; his father (played by Huang Yi Liang) is not well-educated and injured a leg in a fight when he was young. To prevent his son from making the same mistakes, he chooses a harsh method of parenting. The teachers at school are no different. Teacher Fu, who teaches Chinese, is distressed about his students' academic performance, yet his methods are ineffective, resulting in increasing tension with the students. The principal strictly adheres to school rules, even resorting to public corporal punishment to achieve his goals. The school, teachers, and parents, who should play the role of nurturing the seedlings' growth, have instead become the culprits of stifling their nature. By the time they realize their mistakes, the children's hearts are already filled with scars...
