35-year-old woman Oomori Momoko (played by Suzuki Anju), who has been through a failed marriage, is currently the manager of a glasses store in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture. One day, she is dragged by her junior, Miyauchi Sakura (played by Takeda Rina), who admires her, to attend a matchmaking event. Her past marriage experience leaves her uninterested, but at the event, she meets a man in his 40s named Sakuma Goro (played by Ukaji Goshi), whose scruffy appearance surprises Momoko and revives distant memories. Sakuma is an archaeologist, and it seems that Momoko has dreamt of traversing the primeval forests of ancient times. She shares this dream, which has haunted her since childhood, with Sakuma, who then shows her artifacts from the Jomon period.
