Alang (played by Chow Yun-fat) was a free-spirited and outstanding race car driver in his youth, yet this did not deter the wealthy girl Bobo (played by Emily Kwan) from being deeply in love with him. Ignoring her family's objections, Bobo married him and became pregnant, only to discover that Alang was cheating on her with other women, leading her to leave in anger. While Bobo was about to give birth, Alang participated in an illegal race, resulting in the death of a police officer and his imprisonment. Deceived by her mother and a doctor, Bobo was told that her baby had died, after which she moved to the United States. After being released from prison, Alang felt guilty about his past actions and sought out his son from an orphanage, naming him "Bozai" (played by Wong Kun-hyun). The father and son began to rely on each other for their lives. Ten years later, Bobo, now engaged, returns to Hong Kong and encounters Alang again. Upon learning that Bozai is her son, she wants to take him to the United States. With still deep feelings for Bobo, Alang decides to prove that he has completely changed by returning to the racing scene, despite his age and physical condition.
