Yuriko, who runs a beauty salon in Sapporo, went on a winter trip with her lover, high school teacher Sugino. She intended to end her relationship with Sugino on this trip. When Sugino pressed her for reasons, she revealed her pregnancy, stating that it marked the end of her love for him; however, Sugino's love for Yuriko deepened.
