Ben (played by Samuel Schneider) is a sixteen-year-old German boy whose father (played by Ulrich Tukur) is a very successful theater director. When Ben was very young, his father divorced his mother, and after the divorce, he moved to Marrakech to live alone and started a new family there. Ben takes the opportunity to visit this haunting city during summer vacation. His father is very happy about his arrival and hopes to use this chance to repair their nearly broken relationship. However, reality is not as simple as imagined, and a fierce argument breaks out between Ben and his father, leading Ben to run away from home. In a nightclub, Ben encounters a prostitute named Kalima (played by Hafsia Herzi), who opens the door to a new world for him.
