Sister Xiang Er (played by Siqin Gaowa) is a shrewd and capable shopkeeper. The sesame oil factory she runs has received investment from a Japanese businesswoman, leading to thriving business. However, she sometimes feels melancholy, as her responsibilities to support her husband and raise her children break her heart. Her elderly husband (played by Lei Kesheng) is a disabled alcoholic, and their child is born with intellectual disabilities, placing immense psychological pressure on her. Her only joy comes from spending time with her lover (played by Chen Baoguo), but his cowardice and avoidance cause her hopes to gradually fade… In order to find a good wife for her son with disabilities, she once tried to have a matchmaker make connections, but most of the girls who responded were interested in her wealth. In the end, she resorted to underhanded tactics and forcibly separated a pair of devoted lovers, using money to coerce the kind-hearted girl Huan Huan (played by Wu Yujuan) to comply.
