The film is an inspirational sports story based on true events. Val Amu, from Ashamo Village in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, quits his job at a repair shop in Chengdu to return home and prepare to form a children's basketball team, with his childhood friend Suoji coming to help. Despite the harsh conditions, everyone works together to help the kids realize their basketball dreams, and the spirit of the Liangshan Black Hawk spreads.
