The story takes place in the summer of 1942, where Lieutenant Vasilyev (played by Pyotr Fyodorov) leads his female machine gunners stationed in a remote village. One day, squad leader Lyuda (played by Anastasiya Mikulchina) accidentally uncovers a plot by two German soldiers to attack an important Soviet military base and quickly brings the news back to the unit.
