December 1941. Pilot Nikolai Komlev successfully carried out his orders to destroy the German tank column heading to Moscow. However, Komlev's plane was shot down by enemy fighters, and he miraculously landed his Il-2 attack aircraft in a desolate clearing in the forest. It seemed that the worst was over, as he survived an aerial battle. However, the real test was just beginning: injured, Komlev had to traverse an incredible path, overcoming frost, pain, and hunger, evading wolves and escaping the relentless pursuit of Nazi special forces that would go to any lengths to find him.
