This time, 007 (played by Pierce Brosnan) faces the notorious international terrorist Renard (played by Robert Carlyle). In order to monopolize the oil supply, Renard kills oil tycoon Sir Robert, and of course he won't spare Sir Robert's heir—the beautiful Elektra (played by Sophie Marceau). This madman even threatens to detonate a nuclear bomb in the vast oil pipeline in Turkey. Thus, 007 must navigate a high-speed boat from the Neva River in Bilbao, Spain, to the banks of the Thames in London, and then cross the Scottish Highlands, risk almost certain death to protect Sir Robert's only heir and thwart Renard’s plot. A series of fierce battles is about to break out!
