Bai Fuguo (played by Jiang David), Wang Jingguo (played by Xu Shaoqiang), and Wu Anguo (played by Liu Songren) are brothers in the martial arts gang Cuojian Hall. Wang Jingguo loses to Bai Fuguo in the competition for the leadership position and decides to leave Cuojian Hall to establish his own Knife Society, surviving for seven years. Seven years later, Wang Jingguo makes a comeback, and in a life-and-death battle with Bai Fuguo, he schemes to win and takes the latter's young son away. Bai Fuguo's son, Wang Ning (played by Wu Xingguo), grows up in the Knife Society and has a close friendship with his fellow disciples Xiao Lian (played by Yang Caizheng) and A Jie (played by Gao Jie). Wang Jingguo orders his adopted son, Wang Ning, to head north to seek revenge against "the father-killing enemy," Bai Fuguo, while coaxing Wu Anguo into a conspiracy to seize Cuojian Hall. When Bai and Wang meet, they do not recognize each other, and Bai Fuguo feels lonely and chooses to give up his life. Upon learning the truth, Wang Ning is heartbroken and chooses to roam the world with Xiao Lian, but he ultimately has to confront his closest friend A Jie and his adoptive father with swords...
