In 1999, two Chinese special forces soldiers participated in the international hunter school special forces training, enduring various extreme tests and earning honor for the Chinese special forces. This film is adapted from their story. In August 1999, Chinese special forces soldier Wang Hui (played by Hou Yong) and Hu Xiaolong (played by Mu Lixin) traveled to the Amazon River basin in Latin America to undergo rigorous training at General Colin's Hunter School. The school has a dropout rate of up to 60%, so in order to prevent the national flag from being lowered, Wang Hui and Hu Xiaolong were determined to persevere.
