20 years ago, Lara's (played by Angelina Jolie) father (played by Jon Voight) unearthed a mysterious clock from a chest in an ancient tomb. Lara learns from her father that this clock is connected to a secret organization. This organization, known as the Illuminati, believes that once they find this ancient clock, they will possess the key to unlocking time and space—a triangular metal key. For years, the organization has been in search of it. The Illuminati hopes to use this key to resurrect their founding ancestor. But first, they need to find the key. Time is of the essence, as a total solar eclipse will occur in two days. At that moment, the inherent power of the triangular key will reach its peak. The Illuminati does not want to miss this golden opportunity. Lara takes on this daunting task, facing numerous challenges as she searches for the triangular key to save the universe.
