Dean (played by Will Smith) is a Black attorney with a beautiful family life and a bright future. On Christmas Eve, Dean encounters a long-lost friend. From that moment on, Dean's life changes dramatically. It turns out this friend slipped a disc into Dean's bag that recorded the entire process of a high-ranking official murdering a congressman! Poor Dean, unaware of what's happening, is closely monitored by a rogue element within the NSA and faces various pressures, even being falsely accused of the murder of his ex-girlfriend Rachel. Under duress, Dean has no choice but to go on the run, seeking the true culprit behind the scenes.
